Question about Aiwa AV-D97 Receiver
Saw an old post about this problem. Loved this system until recently. Now, when you prress the power button, all you get is a "Click sound". Unplugged speakers on at a time to see it was a Speaker Ground issue. NOPE...Any quesses other than tansformer shot ?
The unit is most likely in protect mode. This means that the output section has a problem and the protection circuitry is preventing it from being turned on. This is to prevent further damage. The typical defective parts are the output transistors. Figure on $20-$40 for parts plus the local labor rate for repair.
