sounds like power supply maybe going depending on how old unit is may not be worth fixing goto pawn shop or thrift store or yard sale i got 26 inch from yard sale for 5 bucks works awesome!!!! Use it it it pukes, but in mean time l would look for replacement!!!!!
I have xfinity Comcast cable connected to my Disney's CARS TV/DVD combo. I did not have a remote for it because I bought it at yard sale without it. I used Comcast's remote control. I followed their "Searching For Your Code" instructions. #1-turn on your TV. #2-hold SET till red lite blinks twice. #3- enter 9-9-1. The red lite blinks twice. #4-press nd release the CH+ key until TV turns off. #5-once it turns off press SET key nd red lite will blink twice. #6-Now u have locked in ur code. Press power and TV should turn on. Then CH+,CH-,VOL+, and VOL- should work for ur TV.
The V-chip has a 4 digit numerical password in order to keep older children from changing its settings.
However, it can be overridden by savvier youth who read the television's manual to find out how to reset the password to 0000 (built into the V-chip in case the parents themselves forget the password that they set).
hope this will help.
Yes there is my friend!
Follow these instructions and it will work for you!
Philips and Magnavox:
Philips sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The override code for Philip sets is 0711, although it may say "Incorrect code" the first time to trick you. If "Incorrect code" is displayed, simply enter 0711 again. To use it hit the MENU key to get to the menus. Go up or down until you reach AUTOLOCK or SMARTLOCK, depending on the model, and push the "right arrow" key on the remote. Enter the override code, and enter it a second time if it says it is incorrect.
Once in the AUTOLOCK or SMARTLOCK menu, go to BLOCK, and push the "right arrow" key. Go to BLOCKING OPTIONS and press the "right arrow" key. Go to MASTER DISABLE and press the "right arrow" key so that it says "MASTER DISABLE ON". The v-chip is now reset.
