Question about Kenmore 3.8 cu. ft. HE3 Front Load Washer
My HE3 washer runs its entire cycle but the cloths come out dripping wet. No error messages come up. Does seem to make some noise when the tub initially moves.
I had this problem a few months ago and it turned out to be a bad water pump; I replaced it myself and it was incredibly easy. The hardest part was removing the front panel, below the door because the screws are under a lip, about half an inch off the ground. When you get it off, the pump mechanism will be right in front of you. The pump is on the right side of the mechanism and is screwed into the plastic part. When I removed it, the impeller (a small, ribbed plastic part that spins and moves the water) was broken off from the motor. You can buy the whole pump mechanism from Sears for about $100 and install it yourself. Just follow the directions that come with it!!! Hope this helps.
