Question about HP Pavilion zd8000 Notebook
I have the HP Pavilion ZD 8000 laptop and we have had a power outage from Friday thru Monday and when the power came back on my laptop has lines running up and down through the monitor. It also took me forever to get the laptop to come back on once the power was on. Could a power surge have caused this problem. I need to know for insurance purposes.
a power surge could have caused this problem, as you so rightly assumed. motherboards-cpus et,c. are prone to fail or malfunction. even with static electricity.
it could also be a sign that, the tft ( screen ) has faults or the cfl (tube) or inverter have suffered damage.
