Question about Samsung SGH-D900 Cellular Phone
i wonder if anyone can help me.
i have a samsung mobile phone (dont know what model) - its black and quite flat (about 18months old) - anyway . . . . i slide it open to access the number/letter keys and slide it shut to end calls and cover the keys - and when sliding shut the phoen automtaically locks itself so you cant accidently dial the last number called etc - however since sunday the phone is not automatically locking itself when i slide it shut . . thus allowing the phone to dial numbers when coming in to contact with something in my bag! it is also meaning the phone constantly thinks itself as active and is draining te battery. is there anyway to reinstate the clide/lock mechanism or manually lock the phone when not in use?
Yes that's possible with every phone just go on settings, security phone settings on automatic key-gard(keyboard) and turn it off. But before you need to know the code for locking and unlocking like in all nokia is green button and *.Not sure for samsung.

SOURCE: SAMSUNG SLIDE SHUT/LOCK
If it's the SGH-D900i phone that you have... Go to Menu... Settings.... Phone settings... Slide Settings... in there you have to change the "Down" from 'Continue operation' to 'stop operation'... save and slide the phone shut, that should once again lock the keypad.
