What makes the sound come back sometimes? Jiggle the wire at the plug and see if it comes in or out.

Try different earphonesto verify they are ok first.

Handset earphone doesn't work.

Sometimes the earpiece plugs up with dirt/dust, which could potentially block enough sound that you can't hear anything through it (my HTC OneX+ is doing this, and I've been using the speaker-phone on it for months now. Someday I'll take it apart and clean it... someday...) You could try removing the casing and other components to get at the speaker and clean it up.
Your phone's earpiece could also be non-functional. I'm not sure about this particular model, but as with many HTC phones, the little earpiece speaker can usually be replaced. The hard part is actually getting to it...

No speaking sound

my dear,
this could be as a result of network problem, or the earpiece problem, or maybe the volume settings have been tampered with
to detect the real problem, just dial a call to another network, and listen carefully,
if it doesn't sound at all, try increasing the volume by pressing the up button, or even try switching to loud speaker, if no sound still comes up, then you will know that the earpiece is faulty.
visit the show room or a specialist nearby to purchase a new part (earpiece) and it will be replaced by the specialist

hope this helps...
please keep me posted

Sometimes sound is not coming from the earpiece of my N95 Mobile, what is the solution?

You would have loose contact near the earpiece socket or you wouldn't have inserted the earpiece properly, that is,not up the full limits into the socket..Sometimes,if the above statements don't work, inserting the earpiece up to the half in to the socket can solve your problem..I got this problem in my N72 earpiece and got it rectified using the above said solutions, all the best...

I never placed anything in the earjack but when I press the volume key on the left side of my Verizon LG VX 8360, it displays "Earpiece Vol-Earjack" instead of Master Volume. I cannot hear callers and they...

On most phones, the copper contacts down inside the jack work kind of like switches to detect if you have anything plugged in. Other stuff getting in there can depress the contacts, making the phone think something is plugged in.

Get a bright light (flashlight or the like) and shine it down in there. Check for anything unexpected in there, like pocket lint. If there's anything in there, fish it out with some small piece of wire (a paperclip, needle, or the like).

When i make a call i can not hear the caller, but the cller can hear me motorala w510

is this the first time this has happened?
have you dropped your phone?

try a reset of your phone by taking out the battery and the SIM card2_bing.gif. Wait
15 seconds and put it back together and power it on.

I have had this problem and have helped fix others phones this way.

sometimes your phone just needs a hard reset. especially if you leave your phone on all the time.

now,if you have dropped your phone a lot or it had a real bad fall you mayhave damaged something. In this case it is time for a new phone.
Hope the rest helps!

Can't hear anything from the earpiece but people can hear me

the earpiece(bluetooth) is meant to connect to your calls so that you can have your phone in your pocket, on the table, etc. the hardest part is getting it to connect, but if you have the bluetooth symbol and the blue light, you should be able to talk thru it.

PS-arent you wupposed to hear people through it???

Plugged in headphones for call, now earpiece doesn't work

Same here. I tried many things but cannot ring it back to headset mode. I continuously see the headphone icon shown in the phone, so it seems that the phone thinks that it is still connected to earphones. Sometimes, it works fine, but mostly it does not. If I connect the phone on bluetooth earphones, it works fine.
Any help will be appreciated.

No sound when talking on phone

your earpiece volume maybe turned down
while on a call try pressing the volume key on the side to raise the earpiece volume.
This can also be done by accident which why the volume may be low now.
