I would start by flashing the bios. Find another pc to use, go to the maufacturer's site and burn a bootable bios update disc, then try it on yours. If that doesn't work, I'd seriously consider upgrading to a new one. Don't waste your time taking it to a shop, they're only going to tell you the same thing and charge you at least a hundred dollars for their advice. Use the money on a new one.

Wow you guys really jump to some conclusions there. HOw about first telling him that he should RESET THE CMOS. Unplug your computer and hit the power button to get rid of exess electricity. Open your case and locate your computer battery. Remove that while you are at it and you will find the cmos jumper next to it or use your manual to find out where it is. Move the jumper over for 7 seconds and put it back to its origional position. Insert your battery. Plug in your computer and then turn it on.

If it still wont turn on THEN I would assume your bios needs to be replaced which you can do by looking in your owners manual of your motherboard and finding the contact information on the back page.

Yes, I agree with burns-o.
If you can't get it to run by resetting that BIOS to factory defaults, your computer is FUBAR.

The bios is corrupt, erased or just bad. The computer won't ever run again with bad or corrupt bios instructions.

Sorry!

If you were doing a BIOS update, and it failed, it can't boot. so I'm sorry, but these are the only two solutions.

1.Cut off the BIOS, and remove solder and buy a new one from Intel.

2. Get a brand new motherboard.

I'm yet again sorry, but those are the only solutions.

Please rate my solution.

Driver supported my motherbord

so you have an Intel D845 motherboard. what is the name of the Manufacturer? is it specifically made for a pre-built system? what is the brand of the system if so (eg: HP Pavilion), and what's the model number associated with it? These details are neccesary to get the proper drivers for your system. using these, you can go to the part's manufacturer's website, and search for the drivers yourself.
