The DSC-P71 Camera is compatible only with the 32MB / 64MB / 128MB Memory Stick Duo only. Standard Memory Stick media cannot be used with this Camera. It's bit hard to find out these Memory Sticks as most of the Companies discontinued manufacturing low capacity Memory Sticks. However you can try contacting a Sony Store or any Sony dealers near your area to get one.
Please format the memory stick using the formatting tool to delete all the contents of the memory stick. This camera does not have the option to select multiple images and then delete them.
you must get a lavender colored sony stick. the black sticks will not work on older sonys. they do make them and only go up to 128 mb usually around 20 dollars.
I have the same problem .Ican see pictures on LCD but thet stick is not recognized by computers. we tried at wal-mart and other shops too. please help me. these picturs are very precious to me. Thank you.
