Question about Sunpak DX-8R TTL Ring Light Flash
I have a auto DX12R and am having problems. Its very tempremental and fires sometimes but will not work at all on other occasions. I am using normal AA batteries rather than the AC connection. Can you help?
I had a DX-12R for some time several years ago until it was stolen. I loved it. I recently purchased a used 8R and it is fine but I still like the 12R better. Especially the preview light feature. Ok. Make sure the batteries are all good, one bad apple does spoil the whole bunch. Check your cord connections and finally make sure the hot shoe connection is clean. That last one was usually the culprit when I had problems. Note that your hot shoe on your camera could also be going bad. I had a Ricoh that did that, I thought it was the flash. Good luck.
