Question about Panasonic DVD-CP67 Multi-disc DVD Player

Wont read disc-error message HO7

I have a panasonic dvd/cd player model dvd-cv47 and it wont read any dvd's. in the display it reads "HO 7". i no longer have my manual and have no idea what the error message means. i took the top off and the device that picks up and spins the dvd's seems to be a bit loose. Recently my Panasonic DVD player also has been popping up with HO7 errors.  I seem to be able to get around it by just turning off the player for 10 minutes then turning it back on.  Sometimes the error doesn't reoccur for another week.  I haven't tried gutting it to lubricate the motor.  I don't think I'm brave enough for that. Turning OFF seems to work even if it is inconvenient it seems easier than pulling it apart.

It's most definately the spindle motor at fault as i've had various models with the same mechanism with faulty spindle motors. this seems to be a common problem with these. once i replaced the motors the players worked as normal. hope this helps?

I had bought a regular cd from hmv with music on it & when i put the cd in the cd player,it wont play & reads NO DISC also does not reads the amount of music on the cd,why does it give me this...

1. Check that the disc is free of scratches and dirt or dust. If the disk is dusty, use a soft, lint-free cloth and wipe the disk gently, using straight strokes from the center of the disc to the outer edge.
2. Make sure that you are inserting the disk with the plain, reflective side down.
2. Try listening to another CD (not burned) that you have purchased. If the other cd is giving you the same error message, return the cd player to the store, because it is defective.
3. Ensure that the disc you are using is not a DVD disc. It is easy to confuse the two.
Hope that helps! Good Luck!

Dvd/cd player model no dvd-cv52, displaying HO7. have unpluged from power, and cleaned disc.

HELLO

I have just recently posted a cure for this - but here we go again. Fault H07 is the fault code for the spindle/disc motor and to cure it do this!
With the lid of the player removed, locate the spindle and where the motor shaft goes into the motor itself, use a little light oil or WD40. Don't drench the area or you'll really have fun cleaning it up!

Let it soak in a while and try it again - you should now find it works.

I am now finding quite a few owners of Panasonic DVD players are starting to get this message on the display. The same happened to me!

I wish you luck! (:-)

HO 7 error on a Panasonic DVD/CD player.

I got mine to work. I looked around a bit on the web, and it seems that HO7 means that the disc isn't spinning. Whether it's the motor that's bad, or just dirt etc, the problem is that the disc doesn't spin. I took the cover off of mine and blew out the dirt. Then i gave it a spin by hand to get it started. I'm not sure if I just had dirt clogging up the gears, but at least it works (for now). Good luck on yours.

I have a Panasonic DVD player, model no: DVD-RV32, that is displaying the message "H07". What does this mean?

Here's the fix http://www.ledcar.com/pdvdh07/
I've replaced the motor once before on my 5 disk player to fix the HO7 error. The second time it appeared I tried the fix at the above link instead of going thru the hassel of the repair shop.

You may need to apply WD40 multiple times to cure the problem, depending on how stiff the rotation of the spindle feels. After the first application the player ran for about 5 minutes before the HO7 error reappeared. After the second application we watched an entire movie with no issues. we'll see how long this lasts. The fix was simple and hopefully wont have to be repeated soon.

AVIC-N1 wont read navigation disc

If your error message is reading "insert appropriate disk" or "inappropriate disk inserted" than I have the solution. Can you just let me know exactly what the message is?

Dvd wont read the cd

First try cleaning the laser. This may fix it.

Panasonic DVD-LX9 "disc may not be played in your region" error

Try cleaning the lens with a cleaner?
So it only reads music/Audio CDs and won't play DVDs?
Do you get an HO2 or HO7 error? If it is that it might be
the spindle motor.

You might try this website also to reflash the firmware:
