Try plugging a lamp into the outlet for the power. If it lights you have power. (115Volt household outlet only)

Not starting

Hello Pete T - From what you have described the air conditioner possibly have a defective power/control board or faulty plug. I would suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnose and repair the unit.

My AC mod#LRA257ST2 will not come on. Was working fine and just went off now it wont start. I have checked the power and it has it. Is there a fuse on the unit that may need to be reset

There are no fuses on such units, have you reset the GFI plug if it has one? Have you tried another plug or outlet? Clean the air filter and any coils or parts you can reach and retry.

Fan blows fine not blowing cool air acts like it is kicking on then just kicks in and out what could be the problem

Normally this is a sign of a bad compressor or a bad start capacitor. The capacitor you could do yourself if its the compressor buy a new unit. sorry

Wont turn on

if it's a 110 volt AC - you could try plugging another electrical device, i.e. hair dryer into the outlet to see if the outlet is working or not.

good luck!

My window unit just went off. It won,t start up with the remote or manually. It is definitely getting power. could it be the delay fuse? or what?

Most of them won't restart right away. Wait ten minutes or so before you try again. If that doesn't work, unplug it, wait ten minutes, and then try again. You could also plug a light into the outlet to make sure it does have power.
