My air conditioner was in window allyear covered. I tried to start it up and now it wont no signs of bad outlet??
Does the power cord have a reset button on it? if so reset it,if that does not work cut that off and go to lowes and buy a reg. 110 volt male plug, that should do the trick, let me know what's up-mike
Try plugging a lamp into the outlet for the power. If it lights you have power. (115Volt household outlet only)
Http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=76034-1781-GET-213A&lpage=none Heres a link to a volt tester on Lowe's sight, use it or something similar to verify you have the correct voltage at your outlet (select the link by holding down lft mouse bttn and sliding curser to the end of address then rt click it and select copy hen rt click the fixy address up top and paste the new address in its place.-.fyi).
Hello Pete T - From what you have described the air conditioner possibly have a defective power/control board or faulty plug. I would suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnose and repair the unit.
