Question about Broadcom BCM94306MP - IEEE 802.11b/g Wireless Internal Mini-PCI Card (BCM94306MPWIRELESS)
I have presario c 700 series laptop .Model No.754TU I am coonecting s-video plug to Television but i am getting Black & White with no audio sound. pictures and moving film please help me soon.
This happens to me often. Mostly it means I need to update my CODECs. I have found the best source (open source actually) for installing the needed updates and installing a program called Media Player Classic is through the K-Lite Mega Pack. This program also installs the highly desired Media Player Classic program which will play just about anyting. MPC will give you options you never dreamed of for playing videos off your PC/Laptop to a TV.
You can also experience B/W imaging and corruption of audio channels in your lineout to the TV if a couple of things happen to happen at the same time. Needless to say those times are rare and when you experience them and you know your CODECs are up to date and you're not using WMP or Real Player but MPC instead, it is best to close out the media player and restart the video feed.
This link here will take you to a download page at MajorGeeks.com and you can read up on this CODEC package with MPC included. To download click on one of the mirrors from the list under 'Free Downloads From' list.
When you install this package just take all the defaults through the entire process. In the end you'll have a new icon on your desktop to MPC and this is considered, world wide, to be the preferred player.
Once, you get comfortable using the program you can dig into the options and change color and placement of subtitles, sound via an equalizer, etc. Best of all, this player will playback H.264 High Def video to your flat panel if you have one.

Please try the following to resolved that issue:
1. Try a different S-Video cable.
2. Try a different Television.
***note: the above steps will identify if the issue is caused by your Television or S-video cable. If issue still persist contact your computer vendor.
Regarding audio sound, S-Video cable is capable to carry video signal and in order to have audio signal please connect an audio input cable (it can be an RCA cable or depending on your television) to the television from the audio output of your computer. In some reason you need to have an adapter for the audio cables because majority of computer audio output jack is like a headphone input jack.
