Cant get Windows 7 desktop PC to recognize Intel Webcam. It worked fine with Vista/Yahoo IM

Hi again

Thanks for the info. After much reading I'm pretty sure driver support was stopped at Windows XP. Therefor this camera will not work with either Windows Vista or Windows 7.

Your only solution is to but a new one that is Windows 7 compatible.

Scott.

My pc with Vista does'nt recognize IBM 33L4889 I

Sometimes it is better to cut your losses and replace the old device instead of trying to find a non-existent driver or fall prey to sites which claim to provide "drivers for everything - just scan your computer" and then they infest you with malware, adware or spyware, charge a fee and you get nothing except headaches for your trouble.

Especially with 64-bit Vista, older camera drivers just do not exist and it is less costly to replace the camera than to search in frustration.

No audio transfer to shared contact. I can hear my contact on my speakers, but they cant hear me. Error code: 0x80004005.

According to Microsoft, the error is due to a conflict with your anti-virus software. See article at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306081

The same is true on XP and Vista from what I read.
