My printer would not print because the cayan color was low. Once I replace printer ink the printer will only print every other line with smudges in between. What is the likely problem and fixes?

Dried or leaky ink near cartridges. Be careful how you clean them. Use mfg recommended directions to avoid static (etc) problems during cleaning.

Hp Besiness inkjet 1100 fault codes cayan maginta ink and paper lights come on dead

HP Business Inkjet 1100 stops everytime after the first line stars to print. The power is one, the ink drop light is lit, the "yellow" indicator light also on, and the paper light all on. None of them blinking. We replaced the yellow cartridge with a brand new HP 11 yellow cartridge. Turned the printer off and on to reset. Printer comes on everything looks good till you try to print anything, even a on line word doc? Then it happens again, so we replaced the yellow again...same thing. We ever cleaned print heads, Any assistance would be welcomed?

Blue color appears pinkinsh/now stripes and smudging

Are you using third party ink? make sure your ink is xerox OEM. This will clogg up the inkjets and ruin the print head for ever, If you have always used the third party ink then you might want to get a new print head. . If you have used xerox ink then It sounds like the magenta reservoir has spilled over the cyan. This is caused by moving the printer and not waiting for the cool down procedure. Also you might want to change the print head wiper. If the print head wiper is over used it won't clean the print head properly and what that causes is for ink to build up and causes smudge. also make sure the drum maintance kit is still in good shape. (its the yellow roller on the right side of the printer. Well hopefully this helps .

MFC Brother printer will not print when Cayan is empty. Why wil it not print in black and white without it? And which ink is Cayan?

Cyan is the blue color ink, and it won't print when any color is empty so that you don't put air bubbles in the ink lines and ruin the printhead.

Canon Pro9000 - cayan color - not working

Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Black ink smudges for color print mode only, not for grayscale

- Try to reallign the cartridge, run a print test, after that if the issue still persist - uninstall and reinstall software - run test and re-allign again the cardtridge using software. run print test again.

Printer Problems

Will it still print? Mine has said the same thing many times even after changing ink cartridges. I would just push the stop/exit then It will be ready to go. There should be no problem with printing after that.

MFC-240c ink erros. says i'm low/out after replacing

Your printer detects ink levels with an optical sensor that shines at the clear plastic in the center of the bottom of the cartridge. Once this area is no longer dark it will tell you to replace the ink. Since you installed full cartridges it could be that the sensor is cracking up. Another possibility is that you could have air in the ink lines that run between your cartridges and the print head. When this happens the printer cannot print the color that has air in the lines. You should be able to look in your printer to see the ink lines and see if there is air in the black one.
