I have the same problem. It heats up fine, but when I try to turn the steam on nothing happens.

I have a Euro-Pro S3325 with exactly the same problem -- I plug it in and there's no light of any kind that comes on. I haven't even used it very much! I'm interested in the fuse possibility. Please let me know if you find a replacement source since this is too expensive to throw out.

When plugged in I hear a 'clicl' sound and I get no light, unit has no power, and will not heat. I have taken apart where is fuse? (please describe) Mine seems to be the circuit board that makes the click sound but I am far from knowing what I am doing.

My first Shark steamer power button seemed to fuse/melt completely internally after about 1.5 years of use. I didn't even try to learn about repairs as I thought it was my fault for leaving it on longer than 45 minutes. I went back to Target where I bought the first but they didn't have any in stock so I ordered it online through their website. I took as many parts off my old one for spare parts before throwing it away. My second is maybe a year old and today I plug it in and get nothing, the on/off switch will push in but not click or stay and no lights. :( This time I decided to call. I learned some helpful things to share:

    1) Check the bottom of your machine for any stickers with numbers. These indicate you've been sold a refurbished model. I bought mine new and paid the price of new, but learned today I was really sold a refurb. :(

    2) There is no replacement part for the on/off switch. :(

    3) To return the unit for repairs or replacement is $60 + shipping, and takes 4-6 weeks. :(

    4) You can get a replacement unit in 7-10 days for $49 + taxes.

I love my steamer. I'm not ready to jump to a $500-1,500 model. Last time I spent another $100 to buy a replacement, at least today I learned I can do that same thing for $49.

I have the same problem with my shark. I dismantled it and found that a thermal fuse on the bottom of the tank is blown. I am trying to locate the part now. I will post when found.

more than likely you'll have to order a new handle. Those machines are built in pieces so you just cant replace switch, motor, etc....

Proheat 9200 water/solution is not getting to the carpet but hose/tool working ok

Do you happen to live where the water is hard? If so you have calcium deposits that is clogging the machine. put it in the tub... fill the water/solution tank with HOT vinegar. Let it sit a bit then plug it in and press the trigger several times until you get a good flow. Once all the vinegar is through the machine... put about a half tank of water through it as a rinse. Good luck.

I have a brand new KitchenAid mixer that is 5 years old and never used. I unpacked it this morning and it won't turn on, no noise, no movement, nothing. Help.

Please check manually the motor and see if it moves freely. Now make sure that the power plug and the connections to the switch are not tampered , check the continuity of the plug to the switch and to the motors.
If you notice any dirt or insects make sure that this has not clogged on the motor. If so clean using a degreasing spray- WD40- would be recommended.
If the motor is tight , lightly oil or degrease using the spray while manually rotating.
Once this is done connect the power while taking all precaution. Use the meter to check the flow of the circuit to the switch and to the motor. If there is a trip switch see that it is reset.
If there is power to the motor and still it does not work the brushes might be dirty and might need a cleaning/ reset.

Won't spray water and cleaner from the machine

Ensure you have water in tank and solution (or water in solution tank). When you start the vacuum up, the pump starts to prime itself. If you have air in the system, it takes a little longer to prime. Allow the vacuum to run for 1 minute before attempting to pull the trigger. Then pull the trigger.

If this doesn't work, you'll need to open the unit up and check the hoses for any clogs, and next test the pump to see if it is functioning.
