No cold air coming out of air conditioner, Danby DPAC120061

My air conditioner has been on for 3 days and there is still no cold air coming out from it. I think it's just bringing in the outside air and not cooling it down. Compressor starts but still no cold air.

SAME PROBLEM FROM MY AC SUNBEAM..WHY????

  • hollispatric Sep 06, 2008

I can manipulate my thermostat to temp less than 86 degrees. I tried to override system by changing temp but it stays on for five seconds and goes back to 86 degrees. I also tried to turn fan on to see if any cold her would come out but if feels that temp outside. Could it be the belt that needs to be replaced? Model Carrier TSTATCCSAC01

Most likely 1 of 2 problems. A themostat problem isn't calling for cold air but most likely you are low on refrigerant. I don't know when you bought the unit but they offer a 24 month warranty on parts and labor. They've also discontinued the unit so I'd call for service if you're still covered right away.

Where can in get a set of exhaust/intake hoses for a danby dpac120068 air conditioner

Is there a reason not to just go to the Danby site? Support Danby includes phone support, email and "Find Parts" Even if their source is out you should at least be able to find the correct part number, then Google Danby (part number).
You could also look to see if generic flexible vinyl tubing/hose can be substituted. It's doubtful that Danby created their own hoses.

Comperssors have a thermal overload. If there is a starting problem or low on freon the conpressor will shut down until cooled off. Try restarting and listen to compressor.

Compressor comes on but air is not cold

if the compressor is running and the air is cold - then the two likely causes are low/out of refrigerant or the valves are out on the compressor.

In either case you'll need a service tech to look at it.

good luck!
