You can always create another account, but next time don't tell her what it is. Never share your password with your wife. You might need to create another email account as well.

I try to set up an account, but all get is my wife's

You will most likely just need to sign out of your wife's account and then sign back in using your own account. The web browser may be remembering the last account that was signed in to.

Give that a try and if it doesn't help, reply with a comment and I will help troubleshoot further.

Hope that helps!

I have a account on my device but my wife wants her own account on the same device. Can she?

If your wife has her own email she can have her own facebook account no matter what device. Families will generally have multiple accounts from the same computer or phone account.

My wife has recently added a Facebook account. Now I cannot access my account, as the computer simply directs itself to her account. Why?

You will need to sign out of your wife's account and then sign into your own account.

To sign out, click the small arrow at the top right of any page and then click Log Out in the dropdown that appears.

Once signed out of your wife's account then visit http://www.facebook.com and enter your email and password to sign into your own account.

Hope that helps!

My wife started a Facebook account and used our email address as an alternate. I now can't get into my account because it only recognizes her at our email address. She even deactivated it but when I try...

My wife started a Facebook account : does it mean u have created a seperate account in ur name ?

solution : 1 if so , u must have got the activeation mail : please check ur inbox and junk folder . if u dont find the activation/confirmation mail from face book , then looks like ur alternate mail has been used primary contact :

solution 2 : ask ur wife to login to her accout and then later log off .

then sign in with ur personal account and see if the creadentials are valid .

(u can view 2  diff account on the same browser , unless 1 of the account is logged off ).

would b glad know more about it .,

good day .
