Xerox 8200DP connection problems

Hi, I think lightning hit my printer. I can no longer find the printer with either the usb connection or the ethernet connection. When the lightning hit it was connected to an single computer via usb. since I have tried both other ways with no luck. I don't know if the same board has both connections on it or 2 different boards.

Thanks for any help.

Hi i ned to reset the maintenance for phaser8200dp color printer

Without expensive equipment to reset the chip I don't know of anyway to do this. If it is "expired" by date you can try going into the printer setup and back dating the year to "fool" the printer. I understand many people have had success doing this.

Model 7760 boots up to main menu but says it is warming up. Is this a problem with engine controller board ? Fuser is hot.

The Xerox Phaser must be connected to thenetwork via the ethernet cable or via the USB to a PC before you start it up.

If the printer can't "see" the network or PC via the Ethernet or USBconnections when you switch it on, the menu will display "warming up"continuously and when you try to access the menu, it will "freeze".When this happens, switch the printer off and make sure the Ethernet or USBconnections are connected properly before switching it back on.

Check on the back of unit, there are blinking lights. Check the light next to the PS label and see if it blinks.

If not ....then you've got a bad Power Supply 650-4024-01

That's the most likely situation

Using Phaser 8200 with Windows XP SP3 - when selecting CUSTOM paper size - Windows Explorer crashes

This happens most frequently with a bad driver install. You should go to Xerox.com and download the latest version of the device driver. Then reinstall the approrpaite driver and check to see how things go.

Powering Up My Xerox Phaser 8200DP

I assume no codes are coming up after leaving it on for a long time.
Most likely problem is the electronics module.
With the price of it you could buy 2 new dry ink phaser printers.
But what you are describing sounds like an electronics module issue.

You can only do scanning on an M20i with a USB or parallel cable. That machine does not support scanning via an ethernet cable.

I think the maintanance kit runs out based on time and usage, which ever comes first, roll back your printers clock a few months or more and see if that fix's the problem.

Xerox Phaser 8500DN - no power

1) verify that the power is plugged into a known good power plug in the wall. make sure there is not a surge protector, extension cord connected to it.

2) disconnect any usb and/or ethernet cables.

3) reseat the ram

4) disconnect any optional accessories such as lower trays, hard drives, etc. to isolate any possible items taking down the printer.
