- I fixed it! I held down the home and on/off button down at the same time for about 20seconds and it turned on and has been working as if nothing ever happened!! Thanks guys!

-   Mine is exactly the same - worked like the dog's for 2mths made me start saying to friends that I would never use a WinMobile device again.
Thats when the unit suddenly wont power up or anything
Have checked the usual forums about home/power button combo (ummmm CTRL + ALT + DEL)
Nothing works

If you live in Canada , U.S or some country where is Post office offer CASH ON DELIVERY service , i'll take it off your hand and pay for your phone .
I need it for part... Impossible to fix it ,main board burnt . Apple can't fix it if you still have warranty and they will send you a brand new one....

Guru,
phone came back on today - alarm went off that I had set up to wake me in mornings.
Phone is unlocked by supplier for use on Orange tarriff.

- New fix that I have found - do not enable the system auto lock settings and ALWAYS use the power on/off button to turn screen off.
The phone will NOT be off but in Auto-Lock initiated by you and the phone comes back on when you either press the home button or the power on/off button

Reformat it and it should work other wise take it to the Apple store.
