Unit will not power on (by 2 users)

recently there was a thunderstorm in our area. there was a flash of lightining outside and the tv went off along with other appliances. when power was restored 10 minutes later. the tv would power on for 3 seconds then power off. now it will not power on at all. do i junk it?

ApprenticeIT NEEDS TO REPAIR BADLY.CHECK FUSE AND REPLACE IT W/THE SAME VALUE IF IT IS BLOWN.AND THEN TRY TO TURN IT ON AFTER YOU CLOSE THE T.V. SET
