Something needs to be reinstalled or reset. You may not want to turn it on right now. If that is a warning lamp. Is this the first time used?If so, unplug it and use the blade tool to manually rotate the motor in direction of normal rotation, rotate several times and hands and tool clear, plug it in. It sounds as if you may need a control board for your food processor, it could be that there is a loose or burned connection inside your unit and could be fixed by disassembling it. another option is to call the Cuisinart phone line located on the bottom of the processor or on the user manual. Unfortunately most control boards are too costly to repair or replace, and your machine is not under warranty. most times they are deemed a ``throw away``. hope this helps.
