jump start the car again and then take a the battery lead off any one and if if engine stops then alternator is dead ,this works on 99% of vehicles the exception being the renault twingo /clio models
There is a Twingo forum that should be able to help. I don't know that type of car but It does not seem logical to have a sensor under the gas pedal unless it sends a signal to the computer on how much gas to put into the injectors. In that case it would probably be behind the top of the gas pedal. Turning the ignition key on and off would not reset the computer but disconnecting the battery (+) wire for 10 minutes would. I would try that first. Check out the forum if that still does not work.
The best solution is to take it to the garage as no one seems to know the colour or value of the cigar lighter fuse in my 2011 Renault twingo pizaz so replacement will be a case of pulling each one in turn until the right one comes to light
Not a difficult job on this car try doing a renault twingo or modus ,what about the mercedes A class thing now thats a job and half ,Disconnect the battery and take your time its not a difficult job .
The ( EPS) is the Electronic Power Steering and its controlled by electronic and it has no relation with the battery and all I can say is that its a complicated system and expansive to repair sometimes. and I might say you should contact the Renault dealer and let them do a diagnostic on it.
