Question about Carrier 38BRC048 Air Conditioner
We have a Carrier Series 38, it worked fine last year now this year we turned it on and the fan will run for a minute then stop and then start again. Someone told us to try a new thermostat so we did and it didn't fix anything....
Probably need a new fan motor, sounds like it is overheating. This can happen if the bearings are too tight. Not something you can fix just replace. Need an amp meter to check the amp draw on the motor
