MY HP DESIGNJET 500 DOESNT WORK

Hi, let me tell you what it does.. Sometimes when we are printing it pops out in the screen a message of an error and ask to reset the printer, so when you try to turn it off it doesnt work, we cant turn it off, so we diconnect it from the energy for a minute and try to turn it on again, the green botton of the power turns on but not the screen.. so we disconnect it for weeks and it turns back to normal.. this event have happened before.
Right now happened again.

System Error: 86:01
Problem
Description:
Carriage-Axis shutdown.
Corrective Action: If this error code appeared but was NOT caused by a paper jam, then
try the following:
Too much friction in the Slider Rod. Enter the Printer Information
utility and check the Scan-Axis usage. If the
percentage is close to 100%, then lubricate the Slider Rod.
The Carriage is bumping into the Service Station. If the carriage
is stuck at the right hand side of the Printer and cannot be moved
out to the center of the Print Platen it is because the Service
Station cannot uncap the Printheads. In this case replace the
Service Station/Aerosol Fan Assembly
 Perform the Carriage Movement test

Refer to page 1-4 for more troubleshooting ideas...it is most likely the paper axis motor or the transmission gears...or you didn't fully seat the connector to the new encoder board..

When was the last time the heads were aligned? If that's not it, it's the belt.

Check the amount of RAM in the Printer using the Front Panel buttons.
install more memory into the Formatter or
try processing the file in the PC instead
of the Printer (select Avoid out of memory in Advanced options in the driver)
good luck.

THE SCREEN OF MY HP DESIGNJET 500 DOESNT WORK

I would suggest taking out all the consumables. Printheads, media and cartridges. Unplug for upwards of 20 seconds before plugging it back in but leaving the consumables out.

Try turning on the plotter. If it appears working properly, load all consumables one by one, cartridges first, then printheads, then media. Attempt to print a test page if it works.

Or try a different outlet. Maybe the one your using has a problem and doesnt produce enough electricity.
