Thru-the-wall air conditioner won't turn on

We just got a brand new frigidaire wall air conditioner unit. We got it all installed and now it won't turn on. We tried pressing the reset button, changing the circuit breaker, and everything else we could think of. It simply won't work. Help!

I got a frigidaire FAS256R2A installed last summer and it worked fine.I tried putting it on this year and it won't go on. Being it was still under warranty, I got a brand new one installed yesterday, and the same exact thing is happening! The reset button is stuck. I even had the electricity checked by a pro. What next?

We are having a problem with our Frigidaire model # fam186r2a sounds just like this. We bought it 3 1/2 weeks ago and it's been working GREAT... until this morning, the air conditioner started beeping and the digital read out kept flashing 90. We turned the unit off, and now it won't come back on. The light on the plug in is on. We've reset the unit, unplugged the unit for 15 minutes and called the store we bought it from. My husband insists it's something simple... any ideas?

Well, here's an update. We checked the circuit board and it was wet. We dried it and then put it back in... pressed the reset button waited a while.. then turned it back on... and it worked! BUT... 2 weeks later.. and guess what.. it's off again. Haven't had a problem like this with an air conditioner before.... beginning to think frigidaire air conditioners are not worth the money.

I am so disappointed with the fridgidaire product. It has been just over a year and control panel no longer functions. After pricing what it would cost a repair man to come and replace the parts (approximately $200.00 plus tax as well as a two week waiting period) I decided it was not worth putting that amount of money into a faulty product. My suggestion is to get the extended warranty regarding this product even though the customer service and availability of appointment dates are poor at best.

Check for power at the plug in, if it's got power take it back under warranty.

A brand new keystone thru-wall air conditioner is installed and plugged in. The power is on but it doesn't work. What could be the problem?

The unit has a start time delay (3 to 5 minutes) to protect the compressor against starting under high after a short time power failure. Most people tend to turn the unit off when it doesn't start when turned on.

My exist. unit is a very old sears coldspot through the wall mounted in a 12x18 in.exact sleeve. Can i remove unit and replace with FRA052XT7 ?. Exist sleve is vented on both sides & back. This is...

Get rid of the old stuff, too big to be used
Newer unit can't be inside the old sleeve as you call it

Just install the new unit how you see fit, to seal
it up

5000BTU is too small

A 7,200,8,000 or 10,000 BTU is the same size & about
the same price.

Drop in a Frigidaire 25,000 btu, 230-volt Electronic Control Air Conditioner (Model #FAS256R2A). It is Way More Cooling than you need, but it is a very efficient unit and will provide quiet, nearly instantaneous room temprature reduction! Width 26-1/2... Height 18-5/8... Wall Sleeve Included... about $450.

Frigidaire FAH086N1T Thru-Wall/Window Air Conditioner

clean your return air filter, and while you have the front cover off you may want to clean the evaporator as well (it's the silver grill looking thing) some compressors come off their springs during transport and will rattle for years but still work fine.
