I have a Vivitar DVR 850W - I have downloaded the videos and pictures but the videos won't play on the media player I have installed on my laptop, but they will play on the media player that I have installed on my pc at work. Which media player(s) are needed to enable sound and visioin to be played back - my laptop has Windows Vista installed.

Connect the camera to either a powered USB port on a computer or a wall outlet using the supplied charger. The connector is inside the cover on the back of the handgrip. Be aware that not all computer USB ports put out enough current to charge batteries.

Try downloading the GOM Media Player - I just did and the videos played perfectly

The battery compartment is located in the back of the handle. There is a small button, when pushed it allows it to be opened.
