Sounds like the ignition module or spark plug. The ignition module is what controls the spark plug that gives your saw the firing capabilities. Before you purchase one of those, replace the spark plug and see if that works. The 240 is a newer husqvarna; so I am skeptical to say it is the ignition module. However, any new product can have a bad part on it.

Your saw may have gotten flooded and won't start. Make sure your gas mixture is 50/50 gas to mixing oil. Always use fresh gas. If you make up gas and don't use a whole gallon at a time, put some fuel stabilizer in the mixture; so it will still be fresh the next time you use it.

I had to change body chassis on husqvarna 240 chain saw, put back together and started once, then died, now won't start and gas comes out muffler. What did I do wrong

The unit is definitely seriously flooded. Dry the unit out and try to restart. Do not pull the starter rope more than 3-4 times with unit on choke. Kick it back to fast idle to start. If it floods again, recheck your fuel lines to make sure they are correct.

How do I adjust the air gap on aignition coil on a husqvarna 240 chainsaw

Use an air gap tool. Clean the area where the coil mounts on the engine with emory cloth to make sure you get a good ground. install the coil and lightly tighten screws (just over finger tight) slide in the air gap tool and align the coil, make sure both legs of the coil are even on the tool. Snug the screws and recheck the gap.

Will not idle husqvarna 240

Normally this is due to fuel supply, compression or air leak. You are going to need to perform some diagnostics to the saw. Start with compression, anything less than 115lbs will not allow the saw to idle. If the compression is good, check the fuel supply (filter and lines) Still nothing, have spark checked with 3-point spark tester.

What's the biggest bar i can put on a husqvarna 240?

The 240 origanaly had a .325 pitch chain and ran a 15" bar, it is not avisable to go any longer as the power loss will be great, the later machine had a 3/8 chain and ran a 14" bar, the loading on this smaller chain chain would allow you to fit the 16" bar, i think this will be the longest bar you can fit due to power and chain oil pump capacity
