File corruption or system errors on the device.

Hi sorin_jones,

  • This could be because of access usage or an indication that there could a chip level fault (hardware) or a firmware fault in your device.
  • What you can try and see if it solves your problem , is to first format the memory card if it's there in your device , or format the device completely and then load the files that your often use.
  • A good idea would be to make sure you have systematic directories for different types of files because this helps in file allocation and chances of corruption are reduced.

Hope this helps ...:) Let me know in case you have any queries.

My IRiver E150 4 gb blocked.It's says Generating Database.Plase wait... I wait a lot....wt can i do?

Hi, I had the same problem with my Iriver E200. The cause is firmware corruption.

I solved this problem using this method:

1) connect your Iriver device to pc and open the disc of your player;
2) you can see various folders: open the folder named "system";
3) this folder contain a *sys file;
4) open this file using notepad;
5) go to the row "version = ...";
6) you have to modify this row by inserting an older version of firmware. For example if you have "version = 1.11", insert a smaller number, for example 1.07. Save the *.sys file edited. In this way you can force iplus3 to reinstall an uncorrupted version of firmware;
7) now open iplus3, go to Tools -> Portable device -> update firmware. You should be able to reinstall firmware.

Won't power on. Just says "initializing.." and won't charge either.

First thing to try is to replace the battery with a new one then check if this fixes your problem.

Rca 2763 fm corruppted file

There a few ways to handle a corrupted file. You can manually delete all the songs, and inspect the id3 tags to see if you can isolate the corrupt file (long and tedious approach). You can upgrade the firmware on the player, which will result in all songs being deleted, and missing files being revised/added in some cases (I would recommend this approach, but it is not a guaranteed fix). You could also format the player, which will delete all songs and resolve the corruption at least temporarily (but this carries a risk - you may end up deleting critical files, which may or may not be able to re-added later). The choice is yours - good luck!

Help to recover or repair a corrupted file on my daughter's sansa mp3 player

If the file is corrupted then there is no way for you to play nor listen to it. If the player is saying the file is corrupted and to test if the file is really corrupted please try to do this steps. Connect the player to the computer. Open My Comptuer window and open the player locate the file and try to copy that file to your desktop and play that file. If the file copied and played successfully then that good. If not the only way to prevent this is to format the player. Change the player to MSC mode then connect to the computer and open my computer and right-click on the player and choose format remove the check on the quick format and click start to format the player. Formatting the player will delete all the files and data on the device and it will fix any bad sectors that would cause file corruption on the player.
