if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers if you dont have a disk with the drivers you will have to download them hope it helps
plug the web cam insert your cd drive go to control Panel Add remove Hardware click next check yes I have Already connected the hardware. click add new hardware device. search for new hardware automatically.
NOTE: Make sure that you select the correct operating system from the first drop-down menu before you click "Download Software".
You will want to choose "Multilingual 32-bit" from the second drop-down menu.
When you have selected your options, you may proceed by clicking the "Download Software" button. This will bring up the usual download dialogue in your browser. You can choose to either save the file to your hard drive for later use or you can go ahead and let your browser open the software automatically after the download is completed.
Follow the instructions given to you by the software to install and you shouldn't have any problems. I recommend unplugging the webcam before you install the software as the software may instruct you to do so anyway. Either way it will instruct you to plug it in at some point during the software I'm sure.
Do you mean the desktop icon itself, or the taskbar icon?
If you just want the desktop icon back, navigate to "program files / logitech/ quickam" folder. Right click on the "quickcam" (it will have a pic of the eyeball camera). Click "create shortcut". Drag that shortcut icon to the desktop.
To make the the taskbar icon, make another shorcut, and drag it to the taskbar.
