Jenn air oven stuck closed after attempt to activate self-cleaning

My wall-mounted jenn air oven door is stuck closed after a failed attempt to activate the self-cleaning function. I don't know what model # it is, since that info is on the top INSIDE of the door, out of my view.

I would appreciate help

The lock motor may have failed. Most often, bending a coat hanger into a hook and sliding from the right side as you move the door to the right, will allow you to release the lock and open the door.

Have a wall mounted Jenn-air oven. Have used self-cleaning feature before. Followed step by step instructions to the end including locking the door and pushing "Enter". Went to bead expecting to wake

This is a general answer and not specific. The oven thinks is still in the cleaning mode. If it has one, push the clean button again. Set the oven to a regular bake cycle.

While attempting to use the self clean the door lock indicator came on then F9 followed by a continuous beeping, i've tried unpluging it but that did'nt solve the problem. What should i do?

Whenever the self clean function is activated, this lock the doors for up to 8 hours on some models.
This is because to clean, the oven heats up to over 800 degrees, and the door locks for safety, until the unit cools down to what is considered a safe temperature, many oven fail after the clean function is used, as often the temperature sensor fails, along with the thermostat, this lock the doors, often when faulty.
First thing to try is to reset, (Recycle the breaker switch) the breaker, if that doesn't work, than it's either DIY, or call a serviceman, (recommended).

Oven door locked - jenn air

My Jenn-Air double oven locked after a clean cycle. My model (JJW8630) has a series of slots cut in the top of the door. Take a piece of stiff wire, coat hanger, and bend a right angle about 1/2 inch at the end, feed the wire into the 3rd or 4th slot from the center on the right hand side. Turn the wire so that the bent piece is on the top and push the wire so it engages the lever which latches the door shut, it is spring loaded and moves easily.

Once the door was opened, I removed the temperature sensor, held by 2 screws, from the top of the oven and eased the wire out to get to the connector. The faulty sensor was reading 4.2 k, at room temperature it should be just over 1k, while waiting for a new sensor to arrive I stuck in a 1k resistor, ex Radio Shack, so the fan stops running and the door latch can be retracted by closing the oven door, or press the switch on the top right of the door opening.

My replacement part was ordered on line for less than 1/2 the official quoted price.

Hope this helps.

OVEN NOT WORKING

You have probably damaged the latch and other sensors around the door. Make sure that the is not bent or out of alignment.
