If you format a drive and replace the OS your drivers have to be updated as well.
don't rely on windows to put a generic drive on there.
It will... but it won't be a drive that is more than likely, propriatary. If your MB has on board sound then Foxconn should have provided drivers on a CD with the MB when you bought it.
If not go to their website and check for software driver downloads.
If this does not work purchase an external soundcard and install it That too will have drivers provided.

Foxconn 945G7MA-8EKRS2 Motherboard will not post with pentium d cpu ,i have even updated with the lates bios flash,

Good day,
According to Intel 945G chipset supports Celeron D up to Core2Duo. Intel Gigabyte's 945 DS3 even supports up to Core2Quad. GByte Foxconn has 3 mobo bios from there site. Foxconn
According to their date: Latest to oldest
4BFF1P56 No Version 4BFF1P40
Have you tried installing the no version bios? In my experience some latest bios have some problems with other devices so try to use the no version bios. or try a different mobo bios with the same chipset from Foxconn. below are two foxconn mobo models i can't see the difference.
945G7MA-8EKRS2 945G7MA-8EKRS2H
Update at your own risk..
hope this helps, thanks for posting.

Usb still dont work or appear in device manager

Hi noel06, I have read all your post. In order for you to install your chipset drivers use your CD to first uninstall the the drivers. If you do not your system will crash & burn.
(You were lucky on your first try).

(DO NOT RESTART YOUR PC AFTER UNINSTALLING).

When the CD finishes uninstalling you can than re-install the chipset drivers. Go to Foxconn and download your chipset drivers.
http://www.foxconnchannel.com/EN-US/support/downloads.aspx
Fill in the three windows as:
Motherboard
Socket 462 A
K7S741MG-6L
Click the Search button.
As you will see many Foxconn boards use the same drivers.
As long as your board is within the list (which it is), download Foxconn's drivers (check the date of these files to your CD files.
The web site list newer drivers.

Good luck! Take your time....

Sound card not working ( no sound output ) mother board intel 810E

Hi,

Go to Settings, Control Panel, Sound and Audio Devices, check "Place volume icon in the taskbar." In your Device Manager, pls verify that the drivers for your sound card are completely and correctly installed with no yellow or red markings. Likewise, verify that in your CMOS/BIOS settings, the onboard audio has been enabled. The sound driver/installer for an Intel CA810E has the filename 4035full.exe and uses a DOS component.

Should this not work, you might not have an Intel motherboard but one that just uses the Intel 810E chipset. Please post back with a more specific motherboard brand and model.

While it is true that the 810E chipset is by Intel, it does not necessarily mean that the motherboard entirely is by Intel. It could be by Asus, MSI, PCChips, ECS, Soltek or others. The sound therefore need not be the same for all versions of motherboards using the said chipset.

The Intel mb that uses this chipset carries the model CA810E or CA810 which uses Creative Sound Blaster* AudioPCI 128V audio solution or Crystal Semiconductor CS4297 AC '97 stereo audio codec;

The Asus CUWE-FX/RM, FlexATX or i810E uses the same Intel 810E chipset but different sound. Asus can and may use CMI, Crystal, Creative, ESS.

An ECS BKi810E(V7.3) uses the same Intel chipset but C-Media 8738 for sound.

An MSI MS-6188 uses the same chipset. It may have used an Avance-Realtek AC97 for sound.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back to confirm that you have an Intel CA810 version or by some other motherboard manufacturer.

Good luck and kind regards.
