Just wanted to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

I had this problem and read through the threads and found your solution to this and it worked like a charm and just HAD to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I posted it as a solution within my own thread that I had attached to someone else that was having this same problem. Please let me know if I have to do something else to give you the credit that you so much deserve on this. And, again thank you for assisting those of us that need a little help along the way....
Here is what I posted:

Just found this posted by tech17 (THANK YOU SO MUCH!) and it worked!
POSTED BY TECH17:
i posted the solution under premium problems i don't know how that works but what you have to do is get a couple of nails pull the hinge on the door down far enough to insert the nails in the holes and let it rest against the door this will hold the door at the proper angle to engage the hooks inside the hinge slots on the body of the range grasp the door on each side and insert the hinges in each side to engage the hooks then open the door all the way and remove the nails

The thread part of the oven light bulb is stuck. How can I remove it?

uNPLUG FROM POWER. WITH A SMALLISH, NARROW STRAIGHT SCREWDRIVER, ATTEMPT TO GET THE TIP BETWEEN THE BULB SCREW AND THE BOLDER AND ,GENTLY BUT FIRMLY ATTEMPT TO BEND THE SIDES OF THE BULB SCREW TOWARDS THE MIDDLE.WHEN A FEW BITS OF IT ARE DEFORMED THAT MAY ALLOW YOU TO UNSCREW IT.BE CAREFUL NOT TO APPLY TOO MUCH FORCE,YOU DO NOT WANT TO DAMAGE THE SOCKET OR SNAP IT OFF.

I have assumed that the glass part of the bulb has snapped off?

GOOD LUCK WITH THIS

How to change the light bulb in a maytag 8114P732-60 oven

Hi Mary. I had a bad bulb in my Maytag new from the factory. I also had a hard time getting the glass lense cover off, and didn't want to be too rough with it for fear of breaking it. But it WILL come off if you turn it hard enough. I've since seen suggestions about putting warm water on it to loosen it up. And another person wrote and said using an oil filter wrench on it worked like a charm.
Good luck

Top oven/grill. Element has dislodged from the screw connection. Attempted to screww back the element and there seems no thread for the screws to attach to the oven. What are my options?

Hello Michael Clift - I am happy to assist you. First, I will need your model number (and serial number if you have it) to better address the issue at hand. Thank you.

I have a thermador range and want to make the front higher. Which way do I screw the feet. The nut that is on the foot, do I put that on the bottom or the top of the foot when I am done

It should be anti-clockwise which means the thread will come out of the nut and make the oven higher. If there is a nut on the thread it should go to the top of the thread and lock against the bottom of the oven frame to stop the thread from moving in the future..

My display reads F5:E7 on a Kitchenaid Superba stove. email cmaffey@hotmail.com

Well, its 10:30 on a Saturday night, and I was so frustrated by my Kitchenaid Oven. I set it to clean, but afterwards it would not unlock. the display read F5:E7, which i found out means the door unlocker won't work.

So, how did i fix it, well there are two ways, to get your oven door open.

I only found this out after tinkering for 2 hours, and found the easiest way to get your oven going again:

Pull your range out so you can see behind it. You will see a rod in the upper center part of the oven. There is a cutout in the metal and you can see the solenoid that locks the oven. It is connected to a rod. This rod is what goes to the front of the oven and is what is keeping your door locked. Simply move that rod the opposide direction, it will click, and presto, your door is now open.

I never bothered to replace the solenoid, because I didn't know if it was bad, or the controller board. The Solenoid itself is $90, I don't want to even guess what the control board is.

So, not technically a fix, but it will get your oven open. Just don't clean it automatically any more!

Found out that I could replace the C3 capacitor with a 100uF 35V (high temperature - 105 C). Spent $1.69 for the capacitor and 1/2 hour taking the unit out, soldering the new capacitor in, and remounting the upper clock unit back on the oven. Works like a charm. No need to buy the whole Clock/Temp unit, waste of money.
