Question about Bose Wave Radio
We experienced a brief 1 second power outage a couple of
nights ago caused by a nearby lightning strike. Ever since that event the
display in my BWR has remained very dim so it is really difficult to read it in
daylight or at night. Everything else works as it should. Without a
schematic it’s hard to trace back the problem. It could be the light
senor or the LED driver. Any suggestions?

You are lucky this is all it is.
Bose do not seem to supply spare parts direct to the consumer, and I'm afraid lightening isn't covered in their warranty. If you want to return the unit to Bose, first you need to call them to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. This number helps them track the status of your product. In the United States, call 1-800-367-4008. Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM ET and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM ET.
