SOURCE: some keyboard keys don't work
you don't say which keys don't work and if the keyboard is more than 1 year old you may open case via the screws in back of keyboard please note down the keys that don't work then the keys that you don't use that often just swap the rubber conntacts on them if yours has the rubber membrain it needs to be sent back to the manufacture of the keyboard to have them replace the membrain but if the keyboard is in warrenty then get it sent back with the details of sale. look for all screws they may be hidden.

SOURCE: Light on keyboard is on
That is the scroll lock light. To turn it off, look on your keyboard for a button that says scroll and press it and the light should go off. Hope this helps.
