When the washer is sitting idle for few days it starts to smelly really moldy. The smell is nasty. If we pull everything apart there is a grimey bit of water that seems to collect in the outlet line that causes this smell. It is building up almost every 2 days now. Any suggestions? The clothes are coming out fine, unless they sit after the cycle is over for a few hours....
A cycle with just hot water and chlorine bleach will help but you may have to work at it a litle longer to get the door seal any cleaner in future run a short cycle with bleach and leave door open between use as much as possible..there is a new tablet shaped cleaner out now that may help in routine cleaning ckd with local dealer or repair personel also may ckd grocery shelf

Have the same problem, build up of nasty water AND the rubber rim is coated with grimy black gunk! I used clorox it helped a little bit. Clothes seem fine but it sure is nasty!
Tell me how to clean the rubber rim!!!! someone please!!!
I ran a cycle with white vinegar and wiped down the rubber seal with a towel. I had to get inside the gap of the seal. Inside the gap is where the **** collects. It's better, but still has a musty smell, I'm gonna run another with bleach after I "clean" my clothes.
