Sometimes the Nuvi 660 automatically switches to FM speakers audio.  You need to switch it back to use the Nuvi's speakers.

If you can hear audio through the headphone jack but not the internal speaker jack, then the speaker is bad.

This is a problem I have seen many times before. I will be posting an article soon on how to replace the internal speaker, however this is not a repair that just anyone can do.

You have to have skills in dissassembly & soldering.

Also, the speaker is a 1.35" diameter, low profile speaker. The original speaker has a blue & black wire running from the speaker to a 2 position plug, which plugs into the main board. I would salvage the wires from the original speaker to make use of the original plug. I'll be posting a procedure on how to take apart the Nuvi and replace the speaker. Again, this is a procedure for those with dissassembly & soldering skills and units no longer under warranty.

I measured the resistance of a working Nuvi speaker and its 7.8 ohms (8 ohms). If your measuring a value in the thousands of ohms, then your speaker is bad.

To activate your Bluetooth, touch Tool>>Settings>Bluetooth.
For Bluetooth connection, touch the button to pair a Bluetooth device with wireless technology or any device you want to connect with. I have a garmin nuvi and the cable that you put into your cigarette lighter will not work. I changed the fuse and it still will not keep the unit charged. I can charge it on my computer with a usb cable....

Do you see a lightning bolt symbol over the battery bar graph? This indicates that its charging. If it's under warranty, please contact Garmin on their website. and call them. No need to worry about this if its under warranty. Send them your charger too.

Missing bluetooth software

The 300 does NOT have bluetooth. See this Garmin link:

The 360 has bluetooth. In order to have bluetooth, you must have the main board inside that has the bluetooth circuitry AND the firmware to support it. The 300 does NOT have the circuitry for bluetooth.
