Hello,please i'm experiencing the following problems: 1. my 5530XpressMusic suddenly shows red and/or green lines and then restarts. it usually happens about once a day but is becoming more frequent. and now it won't even restart unless i remove my memory card first. 2.i can't remember my security(lock) code. ...please any assistance will be deeply appreciated. thanks

On other panel TV's this is known as a convergence problem. You have to get experienced help costing about $150 or do it yourself. TV's that age have this issue, and you have to open the Tv and find the voltage/convergence box with three screws on it. It usually has blue, green and red adjustment screws, with red on the right. So go for the green and red and adjust until the issue goes away.

Just do update your phone even with the same version of android. My xperia C having same issue but with vertical lines. Got it resolved after refreshing with re-installation through PC Companion.

I really think this is an hardware problem, id had the same problem on my laptop and it was my graphicscard.

Suspected it's a graphic error. Try re-installing your video driver to it's later version.

I know not everyone has this ability, but if you can, go to a friend's house and hook up an external monitor to your laptop. You may need to use the function keys to switch from LCD to external, but if the lines go away on the external, you have a bad LCD. If the line shows up still on the external, then your problem is either:

a) video driver (free, easy fix)
b) bad inverter (video 'outputter') ...approximately $10-50/varies + labor costs to replace
c) bad video card/motherboard ...usually between $200-$400 + labor to replace

It sounds like a bad LCD panel but you would have to post a picture of the problem for me to be sure

if this line is there during boot up then it is a monitor problem usually. but if it is not then it is a problem with your windows files. you could try reinstalling your windows from the disks you were given with it? otherwise i will look into it. email me if you need more help. [email protected]
