Go into the bios (setup) and check that everything is ok there, harddrive, ram, etc. Load default settings and F10 to exit and save. What happens next?

Often times if a PC hangs up at the same place each time, it points to a bad memory stick. If you have 2 sticks of memory, pull one out at a time and check to see if it will boot, if it still hangs up, try a different memory slot, if that doesn't do it, repeat the same steps with the other stick of memory.

Computer froze up, won't load up just getting the blue screen, wht do i do?

Two factors why you are getting that problem;

-- Operating System (windows is corrupt) or
-- installed memory is defective

..try to swap other memory on your computer or also try inserting your memory to other PC to determine if its working or not, if the problem still exist try to reformat your PC maybe its the Operating System is having the problems.

Could be your disc scratched or dirty, try to make a copy of the disc and see if it will boot from that, or take out your hardrive, repartition / Format / Wipe CLEAN it with an adapter and another PC and then replace and try ! Good Luck the Yeti

Desktop ( Emachines 210 ) Very slow ? Ran via win xp proffesional

Try going to the control panel>performance and maintenance>disk cleanup. After running cleanup run the defrag. You can also cleanup your internet browser by deleting cookies, temp internet files, & browsing history. See if this helps speed up the system. Hope this helps & please rate this solution fixya. Thanks.

Emachines 2792

pull the power plug as soon as the emacines logo comes on
and if that doesn't work pull out the power as soon as the first windows logo screen comes on. it should then come on and give you the option to start in safe mode or regular mode, choose safe mode then after it comes on in safe mode restart the cpu
then it should come on in regular mode i don't know why it works for my emachines cpu but it does . i'm looking at downloading a error fixing program because i'm doing this almost when ever i turn off my cpu hope this helps if not reformat your hard drive andput windows on again it worked last time i had this problem.
