Question about LG DH404E Dehumidifier
My new LG dehumidifier out of the box will not sense that the water container is empty. I put a 3/8 inch piece of styrofoam on the sensor to get it to turn on but of course it now will not sense that the reservoir is full. Also, I tried to connect a hose to by pass the reservoir and it does not seat properly so there is constant leaking.
I have found this issue to be pretty common on alot of LG dehumidifiers. Try and reseat the bucket so the left and right sides where the bucket meets the dehumidifier are both flush with the dehumidifier. The issue usually is you will notice that the left side sticks out a little farther than the right side. If this is the case that means the bucket s not fully engaged with the sensor and it will keep running even when the bucket is full. If you reseat the bucket and both sides are not even try reseating it again until both sides are flush. Once they are flush let t run and keep an eye on it the first time running it like this. You should notice the full bucket light when the bucket is full now. If you found this solution helpful please rate it.
