Dishwahser rinse cycle running for hours

I have a Bosch SHU4302UC. Wash cycle runs fine, but when it the rinse scycle starts it runs forever. Sounds like the water comes in for ther rinse cycle and then it just rinses forever. I have tried resetting the cycles but that does not seem to have done anything

RINSE CYCLE WILL RUN FOR 6 HOURS AND STILL WILL RUN UNLESS YOU TURN IT OFF. TEMPERATURE DOES NOT SEEM TO GET WARM LIKE IT USED TO. THE RUBBER GASKET IN THE BOTTOM OF THE FOOD GRINDER WAS WORN OUT. I REPLACED IT BE TO NO AVAIL.

Soldier connection on my circuit board was clearly burnt. I re-soldiered and now my dishwasher heats and runs off normally.

I have a Bosch SHU5316 -- same symptoms -- turned out to be the control module (the thing with the lights & buttons on it). First replaced under parts warranty. The next time, I did it myself (you take part of the door apart). Not too bad to do, but the module cost about $100. Since this was the second time it happened, I bought a "lifetime" replacement warranty on the module ($10). Best ten bucks I ever spent. I am on my third module.

Do you have high temp rinse or sanitize selected? This will pause the timer during the final rinse cycle to heat the water. The sensor might be bad. Try the quick cycle, I don't think this heats the water.

I'd say it is the control module is out -- cost about $100 (I am on my third). I got a "lifetime" warranty when buying my second one. If you are handy, you can replace it yourself. You can call Bosch to confirm this (I did). It mounts inside the door. I have a Bosch SHU5316.

My 7 year old Bosch dishwasher (SHE56C) started to run for hours when set to wash on any cycle.

Do you hear it go into the drain cycle that is do you hear the drain pump run at some stage. What happens in the rinse program (short cycle)? It is likely the thermostat is not working or the water temperature is too low due to heater problems.

Bosch SHU4302UC/UO6 runs three hours.

Maybe wash temperature. The machine may be trying to heat the wash water to a preset temp and it is taking an extended time to get there. Maybe a faulty temperature probe or a bad element?
I know you will ask how this is possible when you have a final temp of 120 but that sound like a drying cycle temperature to me; not a wash temp.
I would leave the thermometer in through the cycle and you will probably find it will slowly get hotter in wash cycle and finally switch after a certain temp has been obtained.

I have a Bosch dishwasher Model number SHU4302UC. The dishwasher takes about four hours to wash dishes. During the rinse cyle it can be running for over an hour and I will open it to look in side and find...

possibilities are that of an inefficient heating element ie..scaled up if hard water area especially. whilst the cycle is being completed then the components are working... so other than the element check the drainage for blockages (slow draining adds time) & also water pressure as low pressure adds time to the filling..

Bosch Running a LONG LONG Time and Watering Remaining

Hi,
You could try running the machine with the drain hose leading to a large bucket. If it works OK in this situation then the blockage will be most likely where the drain hose joins the house drainage system - often at a junction under the kitchen sink. With the drain hose disconnected you should be able to see the blockage and clear it with a suitable pointy tool.
Let me know if this sorts it. Thanks, D.

It sounds like a thermal stop. The water in the rinse wants to get up to a certain temp to satisfy the thermistor but doesn't reach it so it will stay there. If you have an amp probe you can put it on to see if the heater is coming on. This could be your problem.
