It makes noises like it is going to feed but some of the noise is just like wheels spinning. But it won't feed the paper.

You need to clean the rollers in the back panel of the printer and reset the cradle or carriage if you can. The cradle is what moves the cartridges back and forth inside the printer.

Unplug the printer while it is powered on and remove the back panel. Get a damp cloth (not too wet) and wipe off the rubber rollers in the printer as well as on the panel. Replace the panel and Open front panel where cartridges are and move them all the way to the left and back again to the right.

Make sure there is no paper or anything in the way blocking the printer from printing. Plug printer back in and it should come on by itself and initialize.Print a page from your computer. It should now only feed a single sheet at a time and the cradle
should move freely.

If not then the paper sensor isn't working correctly and you will need to replace the unit if that is the case. You should call and see if you can repair or upgrade the unit at a discounted
price. If you want to speak to someone in English tell them you want mac support - they are in Canada.

Always paper jam. need solution

hello, the first thing i would recommend you to do is listen to machine, if you hear the machine clicking, the sound is rythmic, sorry, it does not carry a beat, but the noise is not normal, if you do hear the noise then yes your printer is broken. if you have lower tray, check to see if your jamming from that tray, you can clean both feed rollers for both trays, and try again, if document feed jam, check to see if something tore in the paper guide.

Hp l7590b no paper load

hi friend,
Step 1Turn on your printer. Make sure it is plugged into an electrical outlet and installed properly.
  • Step 2Wait for your printer to stop. Do not load paper while it is printing or running any kind of maintenance operation.
  • Step 3Prepare your paper. Make sure your paper is right side up (glossy, whiter or label side should be facing up). Make sure all the pages are lined up together, like a deck of cards.
  • Step 4Locate your paper tray. Some printers have a manual tray and an automatic feed tray. Refer to your printer’s documentation to find the automatic feed paper tray.
  • Step 5Place your paper in the tray. For 8.5 by 11 inch (standard) paper make sure the 8.5 inch side will be fed into the printer.
  • Step 6Set the paper guide. This is the movable piece on the side of your paper tray. One side should move and the other should not. Move your paper so it touches the side that does not move, and slide the paper guide so it touches the other side. Some paper guides have markings so you can set it to the exact measurements if you know the size of your paper.
  • Step 7Set the paper thickness lever. Refer to your manual to determine which setting this lever should be at. Generally, standard paper does not need a different setting and special media like glossy photo paper or envelopes should use a thicker setting. You can usually access this lever the same way you access your ink cartridges.
  • Step 8Let your printer know what it is printing. If you are using a special media, then set the options before you print. Click “Properties” on the print dialog before you print something. From there, change your media type to whatever kind of paper you loaded.
  • jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); }); Tips & Warnings
    • Fan your paper back and forth before lining it up to load into your printer. This prevents static build up which is the leading cause of paper jams.
    • If your printer doesn’t feed the paper correctly at first, try making slight adjustments as it tries to feed to find the right spot.
    • Refer to your manual for in-depth paper loading instructions.
    • Many printers have a resume/cancel button. This is to be used when you need to load paper mid-print job.
    • Do not overload your printer.
    • Avoid non-standard media types such as loose leaf paper with holes or folded or wrinkled paper or anything with affixed stamps or stickers. These can jam your printer.
    hope this helps u

It won't print - says manual feed - load paper tray. Its a brand new printer (Brother HL-4040CDN) and the paper tray is full

The printer has an "alternate" feed, i.e., for envelopes and/or for special paper.

Open the door to access that "manual" tray, take some paper from the "normal" tray, and insert the paper into the "manual" tray.

Or, on the printer's controls, set the "standard" feed, rather than the "manual" feed, and press PRINT.

Mp780 - Paper attempts to feed and fails Message: Load paper

Your paper feed source is wrong .Go to the printers control panel and change the feed source.
If all you do is 8.5X11 you can go into the maintenance tab and choose it to automatically change paper trays by selectin auto continuous feed.Make sure paper is in both trays of the same type and size. You will hear the printer try and grab the paper three times then it will automatically switch to the next tray.

Paper not feeding properly, nothing jammed as I have checked. Loading tray having problems.

Check to see if the printer is actively trying to feed the paper. If you hear it trying to feed and see the wheels turning, but the paper won't feed, check to see if a screw securing the feed wheel has come loose. If you hear the sound, but nothing moves to pull the paper in, then you probably have a bad printer. They're too cheap to replace to bother fixing - so get a new one.

Keeps saying no paper Makes loud clicking noise

The clicking sounds seems to be made by the small gears on the side of the tray. When you move the gears, it should push a plate beneath the paper upwards, and the paper with it, allowing the paper to be feed.

I'm not sure what I did to fix it. I removed the paper and cleaned both feeding rectangles (to the front of the tray -- nearest you). One is underneath the paper and the other is in the front, center.

I then made sure that, when I move the biggest gear (the one that isn't round) that the paper moves upwards.

    Load Noises

If the HP LaserJet series printer is experiencing a grinding or odd noise when printing or on power-up, open the printer and remove the print cartridge. Close the printer door.
If the noise does not recur with the print cartridge removed, replace the print cartridge.
If the noise persists, this may indicate a hardware failure. If possible, isolate and identify the location of the noise and contact a local HP sales and service ofice at the number noted in the product User's Guide . A list of phone numbers can be found at
