Question about Computers & Internet

Speakers all audio settings are working but still can not hear anything I had the p.c. repaired recently and the engineer turned the audio off in the bios so I assume that is the problem again so I need to access the bios to turn it on again.

When booting up the pc right away after turning on the pc hit the delete key and somewhere in there it will have audio disable/enable feature. just select enable and you will be fine.

Turn up the volume on the left or right speakers or turn down the center channel volume to meet your preferences. There should be a setting for that in most receivers.

47pf6704d/f7 no sound

speakers switched on or off in menu
sound turned way down on set or a box or even muted on either
internal/external speaker switch set wrong
if put ear to speaker and hear anything---audio circuit problem
See if sound there when a DVD etc. connected to a rear audio/video input--if that the set is not usually the trouble.

No sound at all ,good picture ,mute is not on

If using a box make sure sound not turned down on it.

In Set menu make sure speakers are switched ON.

Look for a slide switch on rear of set for Internal/external speakers. It may also be in set's menu as an option.

If ear put right to speaker"s do you hear anything?

still not working likely an audio output circuit problem.

I recently purchased a new M-Audio Audiophile 192 sound card but I cannot get it to work, I don't hear anything coming from my speakers (M-Audio AV40s), which I know are working because I tested them...

This could be that the Onboard Sound Card is turn on in the Basic Input Output Settings, these control wich devices start and run when you computer is first turned on. Commonly known as the BIOS there very often is a setting in there for the sound to come from the onboard sound card or the one installed seperately. You must access this setting when you first sstart your computer, and switch it to disable onboard sound.

Can barely hear anything of any audio but device manager says audio device working

Right click your volume icon in notification area and adjust volume settings in there. Try headphones and see if its still the same, in case its your actual speakers going bad.

Might be that the chip is bad, make sure that nothing is muted in your volume control also check that digital doesnt have a check on it. some times when digital has a check it wont let you hear anything.
