Question about Tape Decks
The door on my Pioneer CT-W602R Dual Cassette Deck won't open.
The trouble shooting section in the manual lists two causes and remedies.
1. The deck is not in stop mode (tape is moving).- Press the stop button.
2. Power was turned off with the tape moving.- Turn power on.
Neither had any effect. Double zero lights are flashing on the display with the power on.
Is there another, perhaps manual, method to release the door? A borrowed tape which must be returned pronto is in the deck.
This happened to me twice over the last 25 years or so. In both cases, I inserted a golf tee into the two small holes below the door and slightly adjusted the position of the tape cassette (up down or sideways). They I pushed the eject button and the door opened OK. This only works if the belt and other internals are OK.

Had same problem, just changed the belts and works like new.

The another way to release the cassette from the deck is by moving the flywheel manualy after opening the cover of the system. The system should be disconnected from the power supply. If you are able to to do this please let me know .later I can guide you to do the job.
