Two steps:
1. Transfer to a PC or Mac by connecting the camera to your system (usually via USB cable), or use a card reader to transfer them.
2. Create a CD using your system software, or another app (suggest: Kodak EasyShare software which makes it easy to transfer the pictures to your PC, organize them, edit, then burn a CD). Most PCs come with software to support the burner you have on that system.
Good luck.

Opympus fe310,, will not download pics to pc

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Copy picture from computer 2 dvd/cd burner/ hp dvd200i

First copy all files from your cam to your harddrive.

Locate the files and use a program like NERO Burn, that supports DVD Writer and you should be set. Ifyou dont want to buy NERO, you could search Google for a freware burner software that will do the same.

IF you Win Vista, you can burn DVD's by right clicking the file and then Select " Send to" and DVD

Good luck

Installation operation failed 00001603 Olympus Master 2

After contacting Olympus in hamburg, the problem was solved and installation of the new software (version 2.06) was possible.
There is - however - a bug when you choose the automatic update system. Don not do that and the program is running OK!

The advises from Olympus - Hamburg:

1. Download MSXML.msi from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=3144b72b-b4f2-46da-b4b6-c5d7485f2b42&displaylang=en.
2. Run msxml.msi and choose Remove to uininstall msxml4.
3. Run msxml.msi a second time and install msxml4.

restart your PC and install the program

succes

Master Software 2 help!

Ditto. Installing on XP w/SP1. Plenty of hard drive space. Pentium 4 w/2GB RAM. Tried different drives. Tried copying CD-ROM to hard drive to verify it was reading of the CD ok. No problem copying but still failing on installation. I also tried by-passing the initial Olympus menu and launching the .msi directly, but that fails in the same way. I haven't found anything on the Olympus website about this, but note their website generates tons of Javascript errors which is not encouraging with respect to Olympus's attention to quality. (This is my first and probably last Olympus.)

Tried pulling the XD media and reading it on the computer but my computer wanted to format the thing (never seen that with SD or Compact Flash, what gives?) so that was a no for the moment.

Finally, I went to the files that I had copied from the CD to my hard drive and double-clicked the OM2_Pack_Framework_2_0_4.cab file found in the OLYMPUS\OLYMPUS Master 2 directory. That contains a bunch of .cab files, that I extracted to another directory. In there, I found a application.cab, which I then extracted to yet another directory. In there, I found OLYMPUS Master.exe. That ran fine when I double clicked on it, but I still had the problem of not being able to read the XD directly, so I hooked the USB up to the camera with the XD back in the camera and was able to transfer the images in that manner.

Transferring images from Olympus Master Folder

You have to buy the upgrade to Olympus Master 2, to be able to burn images to a disc.  Olympus Master doesn't allow you to.  I get around it by manually saving my images in an additional folder on my computer and then burn them to disc from there.  It's a slow process and very inconvient.  Good luck.

I am trying to install the Camedia Master software into a new pc, but when the disk gets to 90% loaded it freezes.

A CRC error (Cyclic Redundancy Check) is a data corruption error. This basically means that the data read from the media did not match what was expected to be read by the software. I would say that it is most likely that the source media that you are copying/reading from is corrupted. It is also possible that the destination media that you are copying to could be the source of the problem. If it is a hard drive try running scan disk or other disk repair software, if it is a CD - clean or replace the CD. David Millier Advance Camera Repair
