Open "Disk Utility". This comes with the computer and can be found in your Applications -> Utilities folder.

I put data in my sd card & played some songs in my lg gs290. But when i formatted the memory card from my cell phone it didn't remove names of tracks from my lg gs290 default music player. I reset...

Put the SD Card in your computer. Open my computer, right click the drive that corresponds to the card, and click "Format...". Do a complete format. That should fix it!

Memory card corrupted

Try reformatting it by inserting into a card reader connected to PC. If it is indeed only a bad sector in the card then you will lose data but still salvage your card. Otherwise you will lose both card and data. Also, if you are using a linux OS then there are data retrieval methods available from corrupt cards as well. Kindly clarify OS.

I want my sandisk memory card of 2gb to be formatted which needs drivers.

there is no requirement of driver to format any external memory card
you may format the card by following this step:

First connect you memory card to the PC and check the drive letter of your memory card
Start - run - (type) cmd - (press enter)
a black window will come
write the command

format (drive letter followed by :)
for example if your memory card has a drive letter as "K" then you may write like this
c:\format k: (press enter) you may also use the command
c:\format /s k: (press enter)

My memory card having corrupted file name 'PH0228~1.JPG' when i delete folders from memory card allfolders deleting except the file containing folder. after removing it from pc it automitically retrive all...

Find the memory card in your "My computer" directory. Hit the windows key and E at the same time to bring it up. Right click the card, then select "Format...". From here you can format the card to FAT32 to completely erase everything and make it like new again. If the formatting fails, the card has a hardware corruption and should be replaced.

Can not format my memory card.

FIRSTLY, CHECK AND BE SURE THAT THE CARD IS NOT LOCKED. If not, right click on your MY COMPUTER/COMPUTER, select MANAGE, click on DISC MANAGEMENT, right click on the drive name that applies on the memory card and select FORMAT.
