Samsung HCN5527W Hello experts, We just purchased this TV from a co-worker. Sound is amazing but color is off no matter how we try to adjust it. Also, the "perfect focus" gets to 37% and shuts off. I am wondering if it is a repair worth doing or time to buy a new TV?? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time. ~Kim~

You must replace the conversion IC's. Part number: STK-392-xxx
Make sure you also change any open resitors!!!.

My Samsung model PS42P3SX/XWU has no sound coming from it from the Sky+ box, just picture. Was working then stopped. DVD connection is ok.

Replace both STKS ICs Ck low ohm resistors 2.7ohms most of the time there will be 2 of them bad.

There are a few possible causes for this

-Picture tube has become weak after long useage
-A fault with the automatic degauss circuit could be causing the color problems.
-The color drive circuits may be out of adjustment.

I don't have instructions for you on how to fix this, I would recommend you either buy premium assistance or contact
another expert with long tv experience to possibly get details
on how to correct this problem.

I would recommend you contact your dealer for repairs if you have warranty. If you don't have warranty it may be cheaper to ask around.

sounds like you have a shorted red crt or a bad drive transistor in the red circuit

This is either a problem in the convergence regulator circuit or the convergence module

you may need to adjust the convergence check to see if you can move the alignment squares
