i dont fullly understand what problem you have with your phone but i have had a problem sililer to this and it isn't easy to find any1 who would repair this 'cheap' but you could save quite a bit of money by buying a replacment screen for this phone off ebay - (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LCD-SCREEN-LG-Chocolate-VX8500-VX-8500-tracking-/290457532851?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL&hash=item43a09e39b3) and also a replacment flex cable (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-LCD-Flex-Ribbon-Flat-Cable-LG-VX8500-Chocolate-/220645128446?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL&hash=item335f7978fe)
and you could easily get your local phone repair shop to replace them for you, usually they dont charge much
The problem you are describing is a somewhat common issue with the LG VX-8500...you can try removing the battery from the phone while the phone is still on. This is known as a "hard reset" and can sometimes resolve phone "glitch" issues. However, the Chocolate with the blank screen is often something that simply means the phone needs to be replaced. Check with your provider on whether your phone is covered by manufacturer warranty or not. If not, it may be time to consider upgrading your phone, or if you have phone insurance, filing a claim and getting a refurbished Chocolate.
Buy a screen. Many online retailers sell them, but ebay is the best place. Buy a phone for parts/repair, and make sure the screen is working. It might cost you $10-$15. There are many tutorials online on how to open up your phone, but it's not easy. Good luck!
I have the same problem my friend . My Chocolate has been working fine for nearly 7 months now . And randomly it just de-pixellized infront of my eyes and the screen broke down to pure white . I suggest taking it in to a cellphone store for them to have a look at it .
