On 6/8/08 I purchased an air conditioner, Model #ASW05LLS1, Serial #2M352057. It is missing the top mounting rail. This was the last unit at Walmart that they had in this model. Can you please send me the rail?

Hello, if you have cleaned the unit, checked the filter , cleaned the coils then either the unit is low on refrigerant due to a leak or the compressor is not engaging due to a bad thermostat on the unit, bad capacitor, or the compressor itself is shot. If its under warranty i would take the unit back to the store and getna replacement.
Check the website for Coleman/Intertherm for a manual, you will need the model and serial numbers of the unit. The filters for these typically sit on top of the unit, some come with frames, some lay directly on the coil. If you can't find a manual on the website or by contacting the company, check the yellow pages some towns have a mobile home supply house that would be able to help.
Hi Jenny,Pressing the mode button on the remote until it display HEAT or a sun or an arrow next to heat or a sun will indicate that it is in heat mode.
Hope this helpsI take the time to help you so please rate me
I would check the back of the unit to see if any debris has accumulated then check for the filter and make sure it is clean. Look at the front of the a/c where the filter sits and see if the coil behind the filter is dirty. If so the unit needes to be cleaned. This can be done by purchasing a can of coil cleaner at the hardware store and follow the directions to clean the coil. What the system is saying is there is a blockage somewhere causing this code. Not being serviced in 4 years would be the possible cause because of the amount of debris in the air over that 4 year period. Good luck on the repair hope this helped you.
If you purchased this unit new, it should have came with the remote. If it is a used model, you might try writing down the model, serial, and product number and check with the Maytag Dealer, or go online with all information and see if you can order a new one. Sincerely, shastalaker
It is best to remove the motor and take it with you to the appliance repair store, Take the unit model number with you, but compare the motors before purchasing
Hi Baygirl, you didn't say what model you have, but you can normally find the codes explained on the manufacturers web site. UYou shoulda bought 1 with a remote though - I hate getting off the sofa
window mount doesn't have to extend out on the back to clear the side /top intake vents because a window is about 2" thick, but a wall mount has to have about 6 to 8 " clearing before the intakes vents can be exposed. you can't have your intakes buried in the wall. in short if you see about 8 " of dead metal in the center area (just behind the window sill) then you can mount it in a wall as it will protrude far enough to clear the side /top intakes.
a sleeve just gives you a way to balance / attach to the outside wall
I just purchased an alleged "window mount" air conditioner with the closest dimensions to the existing model. Do these mount as through the wall as well? My current opening = 18 x 26" the new purchase is 16 27/32 x 26. There are 2 different types of window air conditioners – there are the window type of which will fit in a window that opens top to bottom and there is the slide in model of which the actual air conditioner will slide into a metal sleeve which is very common in apartments. In either case you need to measure the inside of the metal sleeve and then give that to the air conditioner dealer and he will know what to do and there is also a POS (point of sale) @ the store of which will also assist you in the measurement of the A/C unit – the window unit you need to measure the opening of the window itself, I hope this was helpful
