A Open monitors

I have purchased QuadStation 8x from
After few months A Open monitors starts to change bacground colors and in final stage one by one stop working. Actually I can use just 4 of 8 but stil sometimes need to turn on and off to get picture.
The seller hand me over to A Open Service and they do not respond to my calls even I have called three times to voice recording device. Unbelievable customer support!! (Dorothy +1 408 586 1236)
Is there anybody who has experience with A Open monitors that they simply stop working after several months? The monitor turn on button just blinking in green color and sometimes it appears A Open name on screen but can't turn on picture. At the beginning stage it helped to turn monitor off and wait several minutes and turn on back. But now monitors are dead. I tried monitor with laptop but doesn't work. So it is monitor and not graphic card. Please help!

I need help finding a video card for my desktop that is compatible with Windows Vista.

Look up your motherboard / Desktop Model for the specs...

If your PCI slots are actually PCIe( or PCI - EX or PCIX, PCIEX, etc....) Then Go here:

Otherwise, if it's strictly PCI, Then Go here:

If you're still unsure, see this guide:

Is GF4 Mx440 agp8x support P4s5mg/gl motherboard?

The ECS P4S5MG/GL+ motherboard only supports AGP 4X graphics cards,

AGP 8X graphics cards use .08 Volts (DC)

AGP 4X graphics cards use 1.5 Volts (DC)

Use a graphics card that is AGP 4X/8X.

Just bought a new HP 2009m Monitor and my PC is sony vaio PCV-RS510.i want to buy a video card but i don't know the compatibility.hope you can help me.

Sony eSupport > Vaio PCV-RS510 desktop computer > Manuals, Specs, and Warranty page,

On this page I invite you to left-click on - Marketing Specifications, under the SPECS heading.

A small window will come up on the left, showing a PDF file of the marketing specifications.

Expand it to full size.
(Top right corner. Left-click on the Maximize icon, in-between the Minimize icon, and the Red X)

The graphics expansion slot uses the AGP technology.
(Accelerated Graphics Port

It is the AGP 8X version.

Advise you need an AGP graphics card, that is AGP 8X, and has a DVI port.

( I'm using an HP 2009m monitor right now, but I have the PCI Express 1.1 technology)

Digital Visual Interface,

I wouldn't advise getting too 'crazy' with buying the best AGP 8X graphics card available.

A decent AGP 8X graphics card that doesn't 'break the bank', will do just fine.

Here are two examples;

BEFORE you install a graphics card, here are some tips;

A) Computer unplugged from power.

B) Observe Anti-Static Precautions.

Your body carries Static electricity.
Static will fry out (Short Circuit), the delicate hardware components inside a computer.

Computer unplugged from power, computer case open, working on a table; TOUCH the metal frame of the open computer case, BEFORE you reach inside.

Should you walk away in the middle of working on your computer, upon your return be sure to Touch the metal frame again.

C) Computer on, and Windows loaded, Install the CD that comes with the graphics card FIRST.
Load the software from that disk.

Then shut the computer down, unplug from power, and after observing Anti-Static precautions, install the graphics card.

[Also, sometimes in our zealousness to get things going again, we forget to unplug the monitor from the computer's Integrated Graphics, and plug the monitor into the graphics card ]

How do know what graphics card is compatable with my motherboard

Regarding your MSI K8N NEO2-Platinum (MS7025) Motherboard, it should have one AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) 1.5V 4X/8X slot and an nVIDIA® nForce3 Ultra Chipset. There are a few links below I think will greatly help you.

Click here for information on the motherboard:

Click here for information on the nVIDIA nForce Ultra Chipset.
(a snippet from that page)
Connectivity - AGP interface
Supports AGP3.0 - 0.8 V signaling for 8× and 4× with Fast Writes data transfers
Supports AGP2.0 - 1.5 V signaling for 4×, 2×, and 1× modes with 4× and 2× Fast Writes data transfers
Supports graphics address remapping table (GART) features
The AGP3.0 8× 533 MT/s (million transfers per second) interface provides the user with the ability to upgrade the external graphics card, thus avoiding obsolescence. An external AGP add-in card achieves higher performance than it would on existing platforms.
AGP interface is backward compatible with the AGP2.0 specification.
Click here for AGP information:
And last, but not least YES!!, there is a WIKI page on the AGP.
(a snippet from that page)
As of 2009 [update], few new motherboards feature AGP slots. No new motherboard chipsets are equipped with AGP support, but motherboards continue to be produced with older chipsets that have AGP support. PCI Express allows for higher data transfer rates, has more robust full-duplex support, and also supports other devices.

Benq computer monitor shuts down after standby in energy saving..

There are 6 (reduced quality) capacitors in the BenQ Q9W5 which cause the screen over time to 'fail to sync' when turning on or resuming from standby.

They are;
4x 470uF 35v, and
2x 1000uF 16v.

I recommend the following replacements if you are in Australia (the ones I purchased from Jaycar only lasted 12 months);
