Try the Manual - In addition to the Get you started Handbook a more comprehensive manual is usually on the software disk in PDF format.

The hand is just a warning to let you know not to take the picture because your flash is disabled. If you don't need the flash then don't worry about it. To get rid of it, look for the lighting bolt symbol and press that button. That is the flash button and you can set it there.

Is it easy for me to fix broken screen for g7

Only you can answer that question. If you're an experienced camera repair technician then I'd say it would be easy for you to replace the screen. If, on the other hand, you barely know which end of a soldering iron not to touch, then I'd say it would not be easy.

My canon g7 shut down power with objective out . i change the battery and dont respond .thanks

Its not a problem with the battery, the G7 and the G9 have a problem where a loose screw inside the camera shorts it out and causes it to not power. The repair service is about $85 total for a new part, installation and return shipping of the camera!

Have you tried: www.camerasandparts.com I know they sell both the new and used lcd screen for the powershots so they may have the instructions. Try emailing them, it would be worth a shot. Best of luck.

Hi, could you tell me where the shutter timer is on the Canon Powershot G7? John

Press down-arrow on the cursor pad (marked with a one-handed clock). Use up/down to select the delay. Start the self-timer by pressing the shutter release button.

Canon Powershot G7 digital camera

A friend suggested I uninstall the digital camera solution disk and then reinstall it. I did so and although my computer seemed to crash once it was restarted after turning it off and back on and getting a blue screen from microsoft stating I had to start it manually everything worked out. I am so thankful. I got about 100 pictures downloaded and stored into the appropriate album. Thank you for your concern.
